As much as I hate to use other people’s photographs (it feels a little bit like stealing!), I knew I as soon as I saw Charlie‘s pictures from Meadham Kirchhoff SS12 that I would have to borrow some of them for my own blog. A Wolf In Lamb’s Clothing makes me think of a cheeky version of Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette with all the frivolous frilly dresses and Ladurée cakes, which has been spun around in a giant candy floss machine to create those wonderfully fluffy marabou-feather jackets and skirts, and then licked to smear and dissolve patches of the messed-up blonde wigs. With Nicholas Kirkwood crystal pompom platforms and cartoon character nails, it couldn’t be a more lavish affair. The photos above were gleaned predominantly from Tavi Gevinson’s new venture Rookie, along with Girl A La Mode and 3 other sites, and god how I am thankful for them! I tried to link most of them to their appropriate pages where you will find many more snapshots of this incredible funfair extravaganza Meadham Kirchhoff managed to create. My eyes glisten with indulgence, as I hope yours do too!
